I finished Chest and Back late last night. It wasn't as hard as the first time. I managed to do more reps than last week which was really cool. I still struggled with the pull ups but I guess that will come with time. Ab Ripper was a beast!!! I hate it but I love it. I know that it will all pay off in the end. I have alot of catching up to do this weekend....
Plyometrics seemed a lot more difficult this time. Maybe it was because I worked out so late. I didn't get started until about midnight. By that time everyone in my house was asleep. My workout partner (bka my wife) knocked out after we watched 7 Pounds. I don't blame her though. She had a long day at The Getty w/ my 6 year old son, Santiago. I can only imagine how draining it was to chase around 30 first graders in a museum.
After my workout my abs really hurt from last nights Ab Ripper. I can barely sit up because of the pain in my stomach. My quads are also burning up. By the time the dvd was over my shirt was soaken wet. Plyometrics really lives up to being The Mother of All Workouts.

P90X - Day 8 (Chest & Back, Ab Ripper X)
I still haven't lost any weight. It really was never my goal to lose but to gain lean muscle mass. Still I am saddened. I know it's because I have compromised in my diet and have not done any cardio. So I decided to run 5.5 miles today. I felt great after my run. I am really looking forward to my workout tonight.

Day 5 - P90X (Legs & Back , Ab Ripper X)
I didn't want to fall behind so I did this late in the evening. It was really cool because my wife joined in and worked out w/ me. We had to do mad lunges. The wall squats were the worst part of it. I struggled a little with the pull ups but I managed with a little help from my handy-dandy milk crate. By the end of the workout my shirt was soaking wet.

P90X - Day 3 (Arms & Shoulders, Ab Ripper X)
I went to bed early last night. I was really tired from my run and my first day of P90X. I wasn't able to start my Plyometrics last night so I woke up at 5am this morning and completed my Day 2 workout. As Tony Horton would say, "This is the mother of all workouts" I found myself out of breath within the first 5 minutes. This dvd is really demanding and requires alot of stamina. I was really proud to be able to complete the entire workout. My chest and back are still sore. I am not looking forward to tonight. I am sure I will not be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning...
Meal 1 - Protein shake
Meal 2 - Oatmeal, coffee
Meal 3 - Pollo empanizado, arroz con habichuelas, platanos fritos, malta (I think this counts for meal 3, 4, 5, and 6. Don't judge me!!!)
